From the guest speaker, I have many take-a-ways. I learned that any successful entrepreneur has many ways of income. And If you have an idea of doing something what separates you from doing it is your laziness. What separates someone successful from the average person is the emotional effort you are willing to put in. This quote by Seth Godin stuck out to him as well as me, “The new laziness has nothing to do with physical labor and everything to do with fear. If you’re not going to make those sales calls or invent that innovation or push that insight, you’re not avoiding it because you need physical rest. You’re hiding out because you’re afraid of expending emotional labor”

He gave me the inspiring idea to do something for free on craigslist and create a portfolio this way. What I also learned just recently is that motivation does not exist, you can’t simply wait around for motivation to come around for you to take action. You must simply look at the goals you have for yourself, short term or long term, and realize your desire to want to achieve these goals and just trust the process. You also never stop learning if you want to make something of yourself. This is inspiring because life doesn’t always go the route you think, things happen and you learn from the experiences you are given.
